Buscor hosted a sports event to close the transport month in style with lots of sporting activities in collaboration with the local government and other public transport bodies at Kanyamazane Stadium on 28 October 2023. The Department of Community, Safety, Security and Liaison, SAPS and Taxi association in the Lowveld region, were part of the teams that participated in the event over the weekend.
The event received a huge attendance from the communities around the City of Mbombela as spectators came in numbers to witness the greatness of this sports event. The sport event had various sport codes which included soccer and netball from all the participants of the games that occurred on the day. Here are the highlights of how the sporting event day went:
The number of attendees was very impressive
The atmosphere in the stadium was electric as couples of eager fans filled the stands, their cheers and chants creating a piece of music of anticipation. The sporting event, a clash between two rival teams, promised a spectacle of skill, strategy, and raw athleticism. The air was charged with excitement, and the sense of unity among the diverse crowd was substantial, all bound together by their shared passion for the game.
The first match created a spontaneous vibe
As the referee’s whistle pierced the air, signaling the start of the match, the players took to the field with a combination of nerves and determination etched on their faces. The first moments were a whirlwind of swift passes, strategic plays, and impressive individual efforts. Each movement was met with a collective gasp or roar from the spectators, who were emotionally invested in the unfolding drama.

Reaching exciting heights during moments of brilliance and holding its breath during nail-biting close calls. Tension hung in the air as the teams battled, each gain or lost on the field met with fierce reactions.
