A Friday Filled with Purpose and Celebration
On Friday, Buscor Transport Services turned a normal day into a special and meaningful event at Siyaphila Old Age Centre. What was planned as a Buscor’s Back-to-School Drive became a beautiful day of giving, gratitude, and celebration. The event focused on giving learners school bags and lunch boxes while also celebrating the belated birthday of Dr. Norah Fakude, whose birthday was on 02 February.
From the beginning of the program, it was clear that this was more than just a donation drive. It was a day filled with appreciation, unity, and a shared goal of supporting the community.

A Centre That Feeds, Protects and Nurtures
Gogo Masesi, speaking on behalf of Siyaphila Centre, expressed sincere thanks to the Buscor team and Dr. Norah Fakude.
The Heart of the Day: Back-to-School Drive

The happiest moment of the day came when it was time to hand out the school bags. Four schools were present to receive the donations: Somcuba Primary School, Vukasambe Primary School, Mbokodo Primary School, and Sindzawonye Primary School.
A Legacy Rooted in Purpose
When Dr. Norah Fakude spoke, her message was humble and full of gratitude. She thanked the grandmothers (Bogogo), teachers, and everyone who works hard to take care of the children and support the centre, she recognized the important role they play in shaping young lives.
Giving Back: More Than a Gesture
Buscor’s Back-to-School Drive was not just about giving out school supplies. It was about supporting education, giving hope, and showing children that they are cared for. A school bag is more than just a bag; it carries opportunity, preparation, and encouragement.
By celebrating a birthday while giving back to the community, Buscor showed that serving others can be joyful and meaningful. The event reflected a strong commitment to helping the community grow.
Moving Communities Forward
As a transport service that serves the community daily, Buscor understands that its role goes beyond transporting passengers. It is also about making a positive difference in people’s lives.
The Buscor’s Back-to-School Drive at Siyaphila Old Age Centre showed this commitment clearly. It brought people together, celebrated a life of service, supported learners, and strengthened community ties.
It was a day filled with smiles, gratitude, and purpose. Also a reminder that when we support our children and appreciate those who give selflessly, we help move the whole community forward together.
