Buscor honored the 75th birthday of their Executive Chairperson, Dr. Nora Fakude, in a unique and impactful way.
On the 13th of February, amidst smiles and gratitude, Buscor hosted a special event at the Siyaphila Old Age Center in Pienaar KaMsogwaba. Where they donated 400 schoolbags to children in need.

Buscor’s theme BackToSchool is an annual Buscor Program aimed at supporting education and uplifting communities.
This year’s initiative not only commemorated Dr. Fakude’s milestone birthday but it aimed on contributing to Buscor’s commitment to giving back to society.
The beneficiaries of this generous donation included Vukasambe Primary School, Somcuba Primary School, and Sinzawonye Primary School, All of which received not only schoolbags but also lunch boxes.
The occasion was attended by representatives from the Department of Health, Ligwagwa FM, and the elderly participants of the Siyaphila Old Age Center, who joined hands in distributing the schoolbags to the learners.
The Siyaphila Old Age Center funded by Buscor, where the event took place, serves as a sanctuary for elderly individuals who rely solely on government pensions.
Here, they receive essential day-to-day support, safety, housekeeping services, nutritious meals, and comprehensive medical care. Moreover, the center fosters a sense of joy and creativity among its residents, who engage in various activities, including arts and crafts.
